The MK-1697/G headset-microphone kit is AN ideal alternative to the MK-1039/G and is compatible with AN/VRC-43 through AN/VRC-49, AN/VRC-53, and AN/VRC-125 series radios.
Typical applications for the helmet system are tanks, troop carriers, and Stryker, LAV and Avenger vehicles.

Designed for combat vehicle occupants, the kit is helmet-mounted and enables electrical U-229/U connectivity to the vehicle's communication radio via two 5-pin connector plugs. This allows operators to communicate in both directions with radio systems or internal communication systems.
